Local policy protection can be shown to be inconsistent with the Government’s National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF).  This advises to have regard to market signals and the relative need for different land uses.  We demonstrate how policy requirements to undertake lengthy marketing exercises to prove lack of demand for employment use is also contrary to the NPPF.
