Permission existed for an 80 room hotel within Bethnal Green. We justified to officers that a minor material amendment application (Section 73) could be used to increase the number of rooms to 161, and deliver additional floorspace. Concerns around additional servicing/delivery requirements were swiftly resolved through the production of effective evidence, allowing the application to be approved under delegated powers within the statutory determination period. Additional S106 requirements were avoided.
