When land is compulsory acquired, we can assist landowners and their surveyors in securing appropriate levels of compensation for land taken and arising from the effects of the scheme. Our role is often to advise on what would have been the prospects of securing planning permission for higher value development if acquisition had not occurred. With effective evidence we will promote this position with the Council, sometimes through the making of a s17 application for a Certificate of Appropriate Alternative Use and, as necessary, as an expert before the Lands Tribunal.
